The Lantern Festival in China marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations, with this year showcasing an extravagant display of culture and technology. This year’s Lantern Festival Gala, hosted by China Media Group (CMG), featured a mix of traditional Chinese performances and modern technical innovations.

The event included a variety of acts such as music, dance, opera, comedy, and acrobatics, captivating a global audience. Thirteen hosts from different cities across China added charm to the festival, engaging the audience with lantern riddles and spreading joy and blessings.

One of the standout performances at the gala was the “Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon,” which combined various art forms to present a unique interpretation of traditional Chinese culture. This blending of old and new elements revitalizes Chinese heritage, infusing it with a fresh appeal.

Since its inception in 1985, the Lantern Festival Gala has become a staple during the Chinese New Year, bringing families together. The broadcast of the gala on various media platforms ensures its reach to all corners of the country.
