Registration Opens for The Kids’ Wonder Lab at MLK Community Center
The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center (MLKCC) has announced the opening of registration for its upcoming session of The Kids’ Wonder Lab, a free educational program designed for children aged 18 months to 4 years. This initiative aims to foster early childhood development through engaging, play-based learning experiences.
The latest session spans ten weeks, with classes occurring every Monday. Two time slots will be available to accommodate various schedules: one from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and another from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. The program is made possible through a collaborative effort between the MLKCC and The Bazarsky Family Foundation, which has a strong track record of supporting community-oriented projects that enrich children’s lives.
At The Kids’ Wonder Lab, children will participate in a variety of hands-on activities that promote sensory learning. These experiences include exploring light tables, manipulating kinetic sand, and engaging in creative painting projects. Each week will feature a unique theme, ensuring that children remain intrigued and stimulated throughout the duration of the program.
In an effort to create a welcoming environment, the MLK Community Center is encouraging families from the local community to take advantage of this valuable resource. The center’s staff is enthusiastic about the opportunity for new families to join and playfully learn together.
Interested parents or guardians can register their children by calling 401-846-4828 ext. 124 or by emailing epatel@mlkccenter.org. The MLK Community Center is inviting the community to help spread the word about The Kids’ Wonder Lab, underscoring its commitment to fostering early childhood education and community engagement.
