Today, Lindex presents its interim report for the fourth quarter and the full year 2023 and reports new record results for the full year for the third year in a row. The fashion company continues to reach new sales levels, in both local currencies and SEK, and increases its sales both in its physical stores and in digital channels.

Lindex’s operating result* for 2023 amounted to 1,030 MSEK, which is an increase by 7.2 per cent compared to previous year (961 MSEK 2022). Lindex’s adjusted operating result* for 2023 amounted to 1,036 MSEK, which is an increase by 8.1 per cent compared to previous year (958 MSEK 2022). Lindex’s operating result* for the fourth quarter 2023 amounted to 249 MSEK (248 MSEK 2022) and the adjusted operating result* for the quarter amounted to 256 MSEK (251 MSEK 2022).

Today we present, for the third year in a row, both new sales record and our highest result ever. Under challenging market conditions, we have achieved a fantastic development, where we have managed to grow both sustainably and profitably with strong growth in both our physical stores and digital channels. I’m deeply proud of what we have achieved together at Lindex so successfully, where all employees’ fantastic engagement, great customer focus and dedicated efforts have been crucial’, says CEO Susanne Ehnbåge.

Lindex’s sales for 2023 amounted to 7,249 MSEK, which is an increase by 2.7 per cent in local currencies and by 3.4 per cent in SEK. The sales during the fourth quarter increased by 2.8 per cent in local currencies and by 2.5 per cent in SEK. The fashion company shows a better sales growth during 2023 than the average market growth for all Nordic sales countries.

Lindex continued its sales growth in physical stores with an increase of 2.2 per cent during 2023 and by 3.2 per cent in the fourth quarter. Lindex digital sales increased by 5.3 per cent during 2023 and the digital share amounted to 19.0 per cent of the total sales (18.5 per cent 2022).

We gain market shares and continue to grow with both new and active customers, and we now have over 6 million registered customers. This is a great proof of strength that our offer is appreciated and that we continue to strengthen the Lindex brand. It is also a fine mark for our strategy where, with our new financial targets, we are now aiming for even higher heights. We have a clear plan going forward with a focus on accelerating our growth in both our current markets and new ones, as well as continuing to grow in our existing channels and by exploring new ways of doing business. We continue our transformation into a more sustainable business and explore new business opportunities and new circular business models. Another important focus going forward for us is to be able to expand our business without costs increasing to the same extent, i.e. to improve the scalability and efficiency of our business. In recent years, we have built a strong foundation and 2024 will be the year of important launches and many major milestones to continue our successful growth journey’, says Susanne Ehnbåge.
