 chapter has initiated Operation WaterSpring. Under the leadership of their State Vice President, Leo Gomez, and in collaboration with their advisor, Ms. Rebecca Mendoza, the project aims to collect essential supplies, including bottled water and hygiene kits, for both adults and children facing challenging circumstances.</p>
<p>Operation WaterSpring represents a pivotal community service initiative designed not only to alleviate immediate physical needs but also to instill a sense of dignity and hope among affected families. As the FBLA chapter embarks on this mission, Gomez expressed the overarching objective of the initiative: “Through this project, we hope to bring relief and dignity to families in need while inspiring other young leaders to take action in their communities.” This sentiment underscores the dual focus of the initiative—providing immediate support to those in crisis while fostering a spirit of civic engagement among young people.</p>
<p>The endeavor goes beyond simply distributing essential items. The FBLA chapter is actively fundraising with the goal of purchasing and donating an air conditioning unit to one of the local shelters. This initiative aims to enhance the living conditions of families, especially during the scorching summer months when adequate cooling becomes not just a comfort but a necessity for health and well-being. By addressing both basic needs and environmental comfort, the project embodies a holistic approach to community support.</p>
<p>Del Valle High School’s FBLA chapter is part of a nationwide network that empowers students to develop leadership skills through various service initiatives.
