Manning Regional Healthcare Center Welcomes New Family Nurse Practitioner

Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) has announced the addition of Melissa Frazier, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), to its Family Practice Clinic. Starting in September, patients will have the opportunity to schedule appointments with Frazier, who brings a wealth of experience and a patient-centered philosophy to the practice.

Shannon Black, CEO of MRHC, expressed enthusiasm regarding Frazier’s appointment, emphasizing her alignment with the healthcare center’s mission. “Melissa brings a strong background in family medicine, a passion for rural health, and a patient-centered approach that aligns beautifully with our mission. We’re thrilled to have her on board!” This sentiment reflects MRHC’s commitment to enhancing the quality of healthcare services in the region.

Frazier’s professional background spans over 13 years as a Registered Nurse, where she honed her skills and developed a deep commitment to compassionate care. “I was drawn to becoming a nurse practitioner in family practice because I genuinely love the idea of being there for people throughout all stages of life, not just when they’re sick, but to help keep them well,” Frazier stated. She expressed her enthusiasm for a preventive approach to healthcare, noting its critical role in patient well-being. “Some of the most powerful moments in healthcare happen before a diagnosis ever does—when we catch something early, make lifestyle changes together, or have an open conversation about health goals.”

Frazier has a specific focus on preventive care and chronic disease management, while also conducting in-office procedures such as joint injections, skin tag removals, and Nexplanon insertions and removals. Her interest extends to women’s health, where she advocates for empowerment through education and support.

In addition to her clinical skills, Frazier is a certified provider of Department of Transportation physicals and various in-office procedures. Her appreciation for rural healthcare settings further enhances her commitment to serving the Manning community effectively. Having previously completed a clinical rotation at MRHC during her training, she is already familiar with the center’s operations and culture.

Residing in Denison with her husband and two children, Frazier enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, as well as reading and exploring local boutiques and coffee shops in her leisure time. Her multifaceted interests reflect a holistic approach not only to her personal life but also to her professional philosophy.

With her addition to the MRHC Family Practice Clinic, the healthcare center continues its mission to provide quality and accessible healthcare services to the residents of Manning and surrounding areas. As healthcare needs evolve, the presence of dedicated professionals like Frazier signifies a promising future for community health initiatives.
