Harrison County Hospital Hosts Inaugural Patient Appreciation Day
In a bid to strengthen community ties and express gratitude towards its patients, Harrison County Hospital is set to host its inaugural Patient Appreciation Day on Saturday, September 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event, taking place on the hospital grounds, is designed to honor both current and past patients, as well as their families and the wider community.
Patient Appreciation Day highlights the hospital’s commitment to fostering long-term relationships with those it serves. The event will be an excellent opportunity for attendees to engage with hospital staff and leadership, further reinforcing the hospital’s philosophy of patient-centered care.
Among the activities planned for the day are free health screenings, which will provide attendees with an opportunity to check their health metrics, including blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Moreover, a complimentary lunch will be provided, allowing patients and their families to enjoy quality time together amidst a backdrop of health awareness.
In an effort to make the day memorable, there will also be various giveaways and prizes. The first 200 attendees will receive special gifts, ensuring an incentive for early arrivals. Additional attractions will include a “Touch-A-Truck” event designed for families. This interactive activity will allow children to explore various emergency vehicles, reinforcing both education and safety in an engaging manner.
Child safety is a paramount concern for the hospital, and to underline its commitment, free child safety seat inspections will be available, guiding parents on the proper installation and use of these critical safety devices.
Dr. Lisa Clunie, the Chief Executive Officer of Harrison County Hospital, expressed the sentiments motivating the event: “Our patients are at the heart of everything we do. This day is a small token of our immense gratitude for their trust and for allowing us to be a part of their health journeys. We are deeply committed to providing the highest quality of care and building a healthier community together.”
The Patient Appreciation Day emphasizes the hospital’s mission to not only focus on treating illnesses but also to cultivate robust, healthy relationships within the community. The event is open to all, signaling a commitment to inclusivity and engagement, and reinforcing the role of Harrison County Hospital as a vital resource in the region.
With its array of engaging activities and a focus on health education and community connection, the inaugural Patient Appreciation Day is poised to become a significant occasion on the local health calendar.
