Support Local Children: Join Our Annual Toy Drive

As the holiday season approaches, the Montgomery County Police Department is reaching out to the community in a call for generosity through its annual toy drive. With the deadline quickly approaching, residents are encouraged to contribute by donating new, unopened toys at the designated drop-off location. Donations can be made at the police station located at 640 Red Lion Road.

This year, the toy drive aims to bring joy to local children who may not have the opportunity to receive gifts during this festive season. The initiative is particularly focused on supporting children from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that every child in Montgomery County can experience the magic of the holidays. Contributions of toys for children of all ages are welcomed, from infants to teenagers. Residents who are uncertain about what to donate might consider popular options such as stuffed animals, building sets, dolls, action figures, or board games—items that are sure to light up a child’s face.

In addition to individual donations, community members can drop off toys at our festive holiday event, the Battle of the Badges, scheduled for Saturday, December 6th, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Huntingdon Valley Fire Company. This family-friendly event offers a variety of engaging activities, including light refreshments, letter writing to Santa, crafts, face painting, and even balloon animals, making it a great opportunity for families to enjoy the day while contributing to a meaningful cause.

The toy drive will officially conclude on Monday, December 8th. With just a few days left, now is the time to take action and make a difference in the lives of many children in need. Your contributions not only promote the value of community spirit but also help foster an environment of hope and joy during the holidays.

For those interested in participating, please consider making a donation or attending the upcoming holiday event. Together, we can ensure that this season is filled with smiles and happiness for every child in Montgomery County. Please help us spread the word about this vital community initiative.
