ButeFest, the popular family-friendly music festival located on the Isle of Bute, has announced the lineup for its upcoming edition scheduled for Friday, July 26th to Sunday, July 28th, 2024.
The festival will feature over 40 pop, indie, and folk acts performing throughout the weekend, with top Scottish artists taking the spotlight. Headliners include singer-songwriter Callum Beattie, trio Talisk, and the Peatbog Faeries from the Isle of Skye. Additionally, electro-trad duo Valtos, pop duo The Eves, and the returning favorites Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5 will also grace the stage for a weekend filled with exceptional live music.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Ettrick Bay on the west side of the island, ButeFest offers attendees a unique island festival experience just a short 35-minute ferry ride from Wemyss Bay. The festival grounds offer unparalleled views of Arran and beyond.
Since its inception in 2014, ButeFest has evolved from a local event to a 2000-capacity festival attracting music enthusiasts from across the UK and contributing significantly to the local economy. This year, the festival remains family-focused by offering free entry to children under 13, providing a welcoming environment for all ages to enjoy live music, craft workshops, activities, and local Scottish produce.
Caroline Swan, Chairperson, expressed her excitement for the festival’s lineup, featuring six Scottish headliners across various music genres. Swan encourages attendees to secure their tickets early to avoid missing out on the magical experience at Ettrick Bay in July.
With an emphasis on community involvement, ButeFest relies on approximately 100 volunteers each year to bring the festival to life. Weekend tickets are currently available for purchase, with day tickets to be released closer to the event. Camping options within walking distance of the main festival area are also available for tents and caravans.
