Áras Uí Chonghaile, the James Connolly Visitor Centre, recently celebrated its fifth anniversary since it was officially opened. In honor of this milestone, the center launched a report to reflect on their journey since Irish President Micheál D. Higgins inaugurated the facility in 2019.
Economy Minister Conor Murphy, the keynote speaker at the birthday celebration, acknowledged the importance of supporting organizations like Fáilte Feirste Thiar and their strategic work in empowering communities to share their stories and utilize tourism for local benefit.
The museum, situated close to where Connolly resided during his time in Belfast, offers an interactive exhibition exploring the life and legacy of the Irish republican socialist. The celebration of the fifth anniversary marked a significant milestone for Áras Uí Chonghaile and its dedication to preserving the memory of James Connolly.
