Laine, a Brighton-based pub company and craft brewer, has teamed up with immersive experience studio Pixel Artworks to bring The Butterfly Trail to Brighton’s Spiegeltent festival in May. The month-long event hosted by Laine and its partners offers festival-goers a unique space to enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment in the beautiful surroundings of Old Steine Gardens.

The Butterfly Trail, an augmented reality (AR) experience currently captivating audiences in London, will take visitors on an immersive journey through a magical glasshouse filled with colorful digital butterflies. Enabled by smartphones, guests can interact with these virtual creatures as they flutter around and land on their hands within an eight-meter, 360° sphere.

Gavin George, Laine’s Co-Founder and CEO, expressed excitement about the addition of The Butterfly Trail to this year’s Spiegeltent lineup. He highlighted the festival’s long-standing history of delivering fantastic shows, food, drinks, and festival fun to visitors, emphasizing the innovative step the AR experience represents for pub-based entertainment.

Riaz Farooq, Senior Creative Director at Pixel Artworks, shared enthusiasm for bringing this magical immersive experience to a new audience and highlighted the broad use of the 360° format in creating The Butterfly Trail. Tickets for The Butterfly Trail are now on sale for the festival running from May 3rd to June 2nd, 2024, offering multiple showings throughout the day for guests to explore the botanical wonderland.

Don’t miss out on this enchanting experience! Book your tickets for The Butterfly Trail at Spiegeltent’s website.
