UCF’s annual Founders’ Day celebration is a day dedicated to honoring the exceptional achievements and contributions of the university’s employees, faculty, and students. This celebration takes place every year on the first Wednesday of April, providing a platform to recognize and applaud the individuals who strive for excellence and make a difference within the UCF community.
All members of the UCF community are encouraged to participate in the Founders’ Day events, which are held in the prestigious Pegasus Ballroom of the Student Union. These events serve as a means to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of fellow Knights who are dedicated to reaching new heights in their respective fields.
The day kicks off with the Employee Honors Celebration from 9 a.m. to noon, where staff employees are recognized for their exemplary performance and service. Following this, the Faculty Honors Celebration takes place from 3-5 p.m., honoring faculty members for their remarkable contributions to academic research and scholarship. The day concludes with the Student Honors Celebration from 6:30-8 p.m., where students are commended for their achievements in academics, research, and community engagement.
UCF Founders’ Day serves as a reminder of the commitment to excellence and innovation that defines the university community. Through these celebrations, UCF honors and highlights the impactful work being done by its employees, faculty, and students, inspiring others to continue striving for greatness.
