Expo City Dubai has officially announced the opening of the Expo 2020 Dubai Museum to the public on the upcoming International Museum Day, which falls on Saturday, 18th May.
To celebrate this special occasion, Expo City is inviting visitors to enjoy complimentary entry to the new museum as well as the city’s three Stories of Nations exhibitions on the 18th and 19th of May. Additionally, guests will receive a 50 percent discount on all other attractions such as Alif, Terra, the Women’s and Vision Pavilions, and the Garden in the Sky.
The Expo 2020 Dubai Museum offers a captivating journey through the World Expo project, showcasing the best of collaboration and innovation from around the globe. Visitors can expect engaging mixed media exhibits and interactive content designed especially for young visitors.
The museum provides a comprehensive look into the history of World Expos, starting from the UAE’s first participation in the 1970s to the inception of Expo 2020, the challenges faced during the pandemic, and the eventual opening ceremony and six-month long event. It also highlights the lasting impact and legacy of World Expos.
Guided tours of the museum will be available every 30 minutes, providing visitors with a deeper insight into the fascinating world of World Expos. The museum is located in the Opportunity District and features a souvenir shop with Expo 2020 memorabilia, an Expo 2020 library, and rentable meeting spaces.
Starting from the 20th of May, the Expo 2020 Museum will be included in Expo City’s one-day Attractions Pass priced at AED 120. Alternatively, visitors can opt for a combined ticket that includes entry to the museum and the three Stories of Nations exhibits, priced at AED 50 for ages 12 and above, AED 40 for children between 4 and 11, and free for children aged 3 and under.
