EPCOT is nearing the completion of its transformation, with the opening of the new festival areas, CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza, set for June 10th. These additions will reduce the number of walls at EPCOT, offering guests more accessibility throughout the park.

One exciting feature of CommuniCore Hall is the new Mickey and Friends meet-and-greet area. @maddiebell03 on TikTok shared a sneak peek of this space, showcasing the innovative queue design. This area will not only host character meet-and-greets but also offer demonstrations and classes during EPCOT’s various festivals.

Another highlight of CommuniCore Hall is the Festival Favorites sign, hinting at a potential year-round festival dining location. Additionally, CommuniCore Plaza will be an outdoor festival area with a stage for concerts, including the upcoming musical “¡Celebración Encanto!” featuring characters from the movie Encanto.

World Celebration will also introduce gardens with seating and shade, each with a unique identity to enhance the festival programming year-round. These new spaces aim to provide relaxing and immersive experiences for visitors to enjoy.

CommuniCore Hall’s design features artistic elements similar to Spaceship Earth, including a new mural, beautiful lighting, and themed decor in the Mickey and Friends area. With the anticipated opening on June 10th, guests are eagerly awaiting the chance to explore these new offerings.
