The first Music on the Mountain festival has been announced by The Phoenix, a special event that celebrates recovery and supports Trey Anastasio’s Divided Sky Foundation. Taking place at the base of Ludlow, Vt.’s Okemo Mountain, this inaugural presentation will feature performances from Anders Osborne, Dogs In A Pile, and Saints & Liars in an afternoon filled with jam-heavy music. All proceeds generated from ticket sales and donations will be directed towards the Divided Sky Foundation, which aims to help individuals impacted by addiction and promote sobriety through the Divided Sky Residential Recovery Program.

Anastasio, sharing his personal journey of recovery, emphasized the importance of a supportive and inclusive community for individuals in the early stages of sobriety. The Divided Sky Recovery Program focuses on providing dignity, respect, and support to those dealing with addiction, creating a safe space for individuals to build the necessary foundation for a healthy and sober life.

Scheduled for Saturday, May 18 at 2 p.m. ET, Music on the Mountain will not only showcase musical performances but also offer activities like yoga, meditation, art, and a variety of food and non-alcoholic beverages for attendees to enjoy. Families are encouraged to attend, bringing along chairs, blankets, and other comforts to fully immerse themselves in the scenic backdrop and incredible performances. The event aims to drive a movement of sober-inclusive music events and festivals, in partnership with The Phoenix, a national nonprofit dedicated to changing the narrative around substance use disorder and recovery.

Headliner Anders Osborne expressed excitement about participating in the festival and encouraged everyone to join in supporting Divided Sky and The Phoenix while enjoying great music, craft vendors, and food in a fun and lively atmosphere.
