With a background in entrepreneurship and a passion for creative innovation, Marie brings a wealth of expertise to the studio’s animation department as it embarks on a new phase of developing original stories.

Marie, who also co-founded and led the Montreal school of creativity FACTRY for seven years, is well-versed in rallying individuals towards a common goal and fostering creativity in various industries. Her unique blend of management skills and artistic vision makes her a perfect fit for this key position in the creative world.

Expressing her excitement about joining the animation realm, Marie shared, “I am extremely enthusiastic about diving into the world of animation. In her role as head of strategic development, animation IP, Marie is responsible for further developing and expanding a division that mirrors the creative excellence of the company. Working alongside a team known for their exceptional work on projects like Itchy the Camel and CANARY, which premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, Marie aims to raise the bar of artistic ambition while cementing Rodeo FX’s reputation as a prominent player in the animation industry.

With Marie at the helm of the animation department, Rodeo FX is poised for growth in both business and creative output, building upon the foundation laid in recent years.

One of the key milestones in Rodeo FX Animation’s journey was the short film CANARY, a poignant tale of childhood, freedom, and grief written and directed by PH Dallaire and Ben Therriault. The film garnered recognition at prestigious events like the Annecy Animation Festival and the VIEW Conference in Turin, ultimately receiving the gold award at the 2023 Australian Effects and Animation Festival.
