MUBI has released a first-look clip for Coralie Fargeat’s upcoming feature film, The Substance, following its riotous World Premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. The movie stars Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, and Dennis Quaid.
The clip teases the intriguing premise of the film, where a product called The Substance promises to generate a new, younger, more beautiful version of yourself. The catch? You have to share time with this new you, alternating weeks between your current self and the improved version.
The Substance is set to be released theatrically in the UK and Ireland, with more details to follow. Written and directed by Coralie Fargeat, the film also features cinematography by Benjamin Kracun, music by Raffertie, and production design by Stanislas Reydellet.
