Every May Fashion in Helsinki presents the Finnish capital as a world class creative hub. The week-long fashion event is filled with events, shows and networking.
The annual Fashion in Helsinki is the leading fashion event of Finnish fashion. Organized this year from May 28th to June 2nd, Fashion in Helsinki presents a multitude of Finnish creativity from talented designers to interesting brands and mixes showroom events with fashion shows around Helsinki.
The latest addition to the busy week will be the inaugural Finnish Fashion Awards which takes place on Friday May 31st.
”Fashion in Helsinki is showcasing Finnish creativity, the talented designers and Finland’s unique craftmanship in fashion design”, says CEO Miia Koski of event founder and organizer Juni Communication. “Helsinki has become a global hotspot of creativity. This new era of transformation can largely be attributed to growing scene of young adults working in the fields of music, fashion, media art and design. New types of clubs, events and exhibitions are bringing international audiences to Helsinki, and young local fashion designers are gaining recognition through collaborations and international fashion competitions.”
The Fashion in Helsinki event attracts international media and buyers from all over the world. Fittingly, Fashion in Helsinki is the perfect way to explore Helsinki and its active creative industry.

The main events of Fashion in Helsinki are spread along the week. On Wednesday May 29th there will be Fashion in Helsinki Runway Show featuring emergoing brands Hedvig, Jenny Hytönen, Sofia Ilmonen, Rolf Ekroth and VAIN.
Thursday night’s spectacle is the highly anticipated Aalto University graduate show and exhibition. The show “Näytös 24” presents Finland’s world-famous future talents. New addition to Aalto’s event is the “Näyttely 24” fashion exhibition.
Friday May 31st starts with Transformation Conference focusing on the business of Fashion industry. Friday evening Juni Communication and Fashion Finland present the first annual Finnish Fashion Awards Awards will be given out in categories such as, New Talent, Innovation, Sustainability, and many more.
