The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) has announced a collaboration with The Community to launch The Salon by NADA and The Community, a new satellite fair set to take place from October 17th to 20th during Paris+ par Art Basel’s third edition. This exclusive invitational fair will be held in Paris’s lively 10th arrondissement, with the exact venue to be confirmed at a later date. The event will span four days and feature a variety of cultural events including art, music, fashion, and publishing.

NADA has a history of partnerships with European fair events, such as Art Cologne’s Collaborations section from 2013 to 2016. However, The Salon will mark NADA’s first full event outside of the United States. With approximately 50 galleries participating, this fair will offer visitors a more intimate experience compared to NADA’s larger showcases in Miami and New York. The collaboration with The Community promises a unique and unconventional format, aiming to provide attendees with an “alternative cultural experience.”

The Salon coincides with the 10th edition of Paris Internationale, known for showcasing young and trendsetting galleries from around the world in unconventional venues. In an interview with ArtNews, NADA’s executive director, Heather Hubbs, expressed the vibrant growth of the Paris art scene as a key factor in selecting the city for this event. She mentioned that Paris was the top choice for expansion among dealers due to its expanding art scene.

The Community, based in Paris, has curated exhibitions across the city, including a notable show highlighting the artistic career of Tove Jansson, the creator of the Moomins. This partnership between NADA and The Community brings together two influential organizations to create a dynamic and innovative art fair experience in the heart of Paris.
